My secret senna gift got me thinking:
Which would I rather have?
I'm mostly torn between the Cayman and the 4C. I think I'd choose the 4C because it's a little more unique/exclusive. Plus, Top Gear tells me everyone should own an Alfa at some point right? It also kinda looks like an Elise so it's a two for one.
How about you Oppo? Which would you pick given unlimited funds? Can be any year/trim/accessorized but it has to be one of those 3.
EDIT: Gamecat decided to put his in M/F/K format. I like that idea. Do that.
All photos were snagged off YIS.

Elise. After riding in my friend's dad's Exige a few years ago, I promised myself I'd own one at some point. They're unbelievably fun little cars!

To own or to drive?
Because my M/F/K is as follows:
Marry: Cayman - performance with comfort.
Fuck: Elise - I like them totally in control, but crazy.
Kill: The one without a proper transmission.

Ooh. New twist. I like it. I shall edit my post for M/F/K

Cayman GTS. With the delicious alcantara GTS interior package.

Can't even respond to the OP now because: Perfect.

Cayman is the ultimate house wife.
4c is the beautiful mistress
Elise is that ex that you still kind of miss but you know it's toxic.

Cayman
Elise is just not usable on the street unless you're a little person
And I would wait for the 2nd generation 4C to be safe. Just don't feel comfortable buying the 1st gen car

I thought it was Track/DD/Burn... though that 4C does have some pretty suggestive hips..

Exige s 240, mostly because this is in my garage, and I want it with just a little more crazy.

But I did it, now I want more. When people ask me what the next car will be I realize everything I want is batshit.

not short enough! i was thinking 5' or under
the elise is seriously so hard to live with on the street
you'd be fine on track and weekend driving
but i think it would be an annoying DD

Marry 4C. It's a slightly more practical Elise.
Fuck Elise. Because light, fast, pretty, but difficult.
Kill Cayman.

The 4C is very attractive, but I worry about its reliability and the transmission (all of tranny options for the Cayman are awesome, as are the Elise).
Also, dd/track/burn is the same thing, just a bit less vulgar. =)

I imagine it is hard to dd. There was a guy my freshman year of college that had a blue one. I saw him driving it all the time.

Nothing wrong with that. I have to have a practical car for my work. However I have an e30 and my old truck to play with.

My friend's dad owns one. His dad hates driving it so he lets my friend drive it whenever he wants. Which is AWESOME for my friend. He DD's his Miata and drives the Elise when he feels like it.
He said even the Miata feels comfy in comparison, haha

Someone please stop them.

Pretty sure the only one I'd fit in is the Cayman, so I'd get a Boxster.

My problem is most cars are designed for taller people so I'm usually closer to the steering wheel than I'd like to be.
![]() 01/08/2015 at 21:21 |

Based on looks and initial reviews I would pick the 4c, but I am not sure it will be comfortable for taller folks. I believe the most practical choice would be the Cayman.

If we're gonna do the MFK route:
Marry: Cayman. I just love the lines on them.
Fuck: 4C. I've got a hard-on for this car, but I don't think I could live with it long-term.
Kill: Elise. I'm 6'2". There's no way I'd be able to DD this thing unless I employed Master-level yoga.

I'm not super tall, I'm 5'11". But I'm a pretty big dude width-wise. So picking sports cars is both seeing how they drive and seeing how well I fit. I actually drove an NB Miata for 4 years. Picked it over the NA because there was juuust enough room in the NB and the NA was too tight on my shoulders.

The Lotus or the Cayman is what I'd take, screw driving a autotragic Alfa.

I'd take a 4C over and Elise if they came with proper manuals, but since they don't, the only thing to top an Elise would be an Exige.
So Elise > Cayman > 4C. I still love the 4C, but Alfa is dumb.
